Coach Shelby Schenck –
With more than twenty years of coaching experience between professional, collegiate, high school and beginning runners, hiring coach Shelby is a great way to improve your running performances. Shelby has been sought out as a private coach for many years and is known for his ability to keep athletes healthy and for his incredible success in developing faster runners through his training system. He has been the head coach at Bothell High School for the last 3 years where he led the track and field team to their first 2018 4A State Championship. His former athletes include a current professional, 1 Olympian, 4 Olympic Trials qualifiers, 3 National Champions, 16 individual HS State champions, 43 NCAA and NAIA All-Americans, and dozens of other runners who went on to compete collegiately at various four-year colleges. Prior to coaching at Bothell High School, Shelby helped to build the Everett Community College program from a perennial spot at the bottom of the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) to win the 2009 NWAC women’s XC title. From 2003-2010 Shelby was the head coach for Team in Training where he coached thousands of runners to finish their first marathon and helped many qualify for the Boston Marathon.
